She had been insistent. So insistent. She wasn’t a stranger, she had said to him. She wasn’t a stranger. But to her, he was.
He hadn’t been able to muster up the courage to tell her anything about his past, not on the spot. She had blinded-sided him with the conversation as it was, but he couldn’t do it. His problems, as she called them, didn’t just involve Analeil. Analeil was only the tip of the iceberg. Light, if only she knew. If only he knew how to tell her.
